For What Purpose Is It Used?
Incoterms, that is, modes of transportation, is a program implemented by the International Chamber of Commerce with the aim of resolving the confusion of terms used in commerce and applying them to a determined standard.
Although it is not based on any legal obligation, modes of transportation are the abbreviated terminology of duties and responsibilities that include the point at which the buyer and seller will take the responsibility of transportation of the products.
Inctorems, which entered into force in 1936, has been revised over the years with the change and shaping of international trade and maintains its currency.
The scopes and details of the modes of transportation, which we will examine under 11 main headings, are as follows.
